Mendy Fry's Journal Updated - 6/23

I’m sure you have all formed your own opinion about the political posturing among the funny car ranks – I will spare you my own personal opinion on it.  (Can’t we all just get along?!)  I mean, honestly, I wake up every day, thankful that I’ve been chosen as the-butt-in-the-seat of this quality NFC ride.  In March, we set our sights on the Heritage Series points title.  A little in-fighting isn’t going to change that. Getting Ready For Las Vegas - 4/3

The “Future Flash” crew has readied a newly freshened nitro Hemi engine at the Chino Hills, CA shop for driver Mendy Fry to unload at the Las Vegas Speed Spectacular on May 2nd to 4th. New additions came into the shop from Mert Littlefield Superchargers with a fresh setback blower which nitro tuner Donnie Couch believes will improve performance of the Dodge Charger into the five-second zone for the first time. The May Speed Spectacular at the Strip at Las Vegas will bring together some of the best of the current crop of twelve to fourteen nitro AA/FC’s and the team can’t wait to get down the Vegas quarter mile on the first run.

Mendy Fry Earns Crossover License

Mendy Fry earned her crossover license last Sunday at Auto Club Famoso Raceway during the last chance test session in preparation for the 50th Annual March Meet. Mendy made to half track passes on Saturday getting a feel for her first ride in the "Future Flash". On Sunday Mendy made the final two passes required to get her crossover license by running a 6.38 @ 191 mph and a 6.33 @ 222 mph.
